Caregiver Requirements
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Follow care plans and home help procedures
• Provide care safely
• Recognize and respond to emergencies
Who Cannot Apply
• A spouse caring for a spouse or a parent caring for a minor child
• A minor (under 18 years of age)
• Fiscal intermediary
Caregiver Responsibilities
As a caregiver, you will be responsible for providing non-medical support to clients in their homes. This includes:
• Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
• Following established home help procedures and care plans
• Provide reliable, respectful, and compassionate support
• Respond effectively and appropriately to emergencies
